Hello!

I just stumbled across this place today and think it's a great idea!
I never really got onto forums when I was younger, but I've been more interested in them recently, even if I still don't spend much time on the few I've joined, so forgive me if I am rather absent from here.
I started reading Garth's work when my younger brother came home with Mister Monday from the school library, and I ended up pinching it and reading it instead haha
I got right into the Keys to the Kingdom, but didn't really check out his other works until late high school I think. Finally reading Sabriel (or I may have read Clariel first, or at least I read Clariel before Lirael) was amazing though, I loved it so much! The Old Kingdom is just such a fascinating setting and I adore it so much. I'd love to see a TTRPG made based on it to be honest (and actually asked Garth if he would be interested in that on Twitter and he said yes, if only he had the time to make it haha).
I've met Garth Nix a couple times, once at the Sydney Writer's Festival where I got my copy of Frogkisser signed, along with a pair of picture cards for it! He very kindly gave me the extra one when I mentioned I wanted to get my sister to read the book. I copped a parking ticket to get that signature after listening to the talk he was in haha
I also saw him at a book launch for Amie Kaufman and Megan Spooner's Unearthed, that was pretty cool too to see him as the host asking them questions.
I'd love to go to more events he's at but unfortunately the downside of moving out of Sydney to the other side of the Blue Mountains is that it's a lot more effort to make it to such events.
Anyway, hopefully I'll go to the effort of being at least a little bit active here, and maybe share some photos of my books
